Mindfulness for Experienced Beginners…
This series of eight 90-minute classes ($200) is appropriate for “experienced beginners” – for example, those who have taken the Intro to Mindfulness course, who have taken an MBCT or MBSR course, or who have experimented with yoga and meditation. More involved yoga postures and flowing transitions are utilized to prepare the body and mind for stillness (modifications are offered as needed). Participants can expect longer periods (up to 30 minutes) of sitting meditation and more in depth discussion. Concepts drawn from eastern philosophy and spirituality will be explored. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat and cushion for meditation. Rental mats and props are available for those who need them. No refunds are given after the deadline for enrollment.
